As ourShipping Department Coordinator, you'll run the shipping and receiving operation from the office: scheduling trucks,coordinating closely with carriers like UPS and FedEx, and keeping the whole operation organized and accountable.About the Role:The Shipping Department Coordinator supervises all shipping and receiving operations at a Confluent Holdingsoperating company. You'll schedule inbound and outbound trucks, select the most economical shipping methods thatstill hit the delivery date, manage carrier relationships – particularly with UPS and FedEx – resolve lost or damagedshipments, and keep shipping records current.This is primarily an office-based coordination role: the large majority of your time is spent planning, scheduling, andcommunicating rather than working the dock directly. You'll partner closely with Customer Service, production, andpurchasing, and report to the General Manager or Plant Manager.What You'll Do:• Supervise all shipping and receiving operations.• Schedule inbound and outbound trucks and coordinate pickup/delivery windows with carriers.• Serve as the primary point of contact for UPS, FedEx, and other carrier partners – managing rates, service levels,and account issues.• Ensure orders ship promptly and accurately, and keep shipping records and documentation clean.• Choose the best shipment method for economy and speed, and hold carriers accountable on pickups, service, andrates.• Trace lost or delayed shipments, audit shipments, and initiate claims for loss or damage.• Manage daily shipping operations – process paperwork for daily shipments (e.g., packing slips, bills of lading,box/skid labels, commercial invoices), process payments, and provide freight quotes.What You'll Bring:• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or coursework in logistics, supply chain, orbusiness is a plus.• Experience in shipping and receiving operations.• Extensive knowledge of shipping procedures, carriers, and requirements – carrier account management experience(UPS/FedEx) strongly preferred.• Proficiency with shipping, ERP, and inventory systems.• Strong planning, organization, communication, and leadership skills, with sharp attention to detail and a knack forimproving how work gets done.• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug test. How We Work:We're guided by our North Star – enabling people to be their best every day – and by core values we look for in everyteammate:• Do the right thing, even when the task is tough or the situation is unclear.• Communicate clearly and respectfully – listen first, ask thoughtful questions, respond with patience.• Stay adaptable and resourceful, finding practical solutions with creativity and care.• Operate as one team committed to our customers.• Hold to high standards in everything we do – no matter how big or small the task.The Details:• Location: Howw Manufacturing• Schedule: Primarily office-based, on-site at the facility; minimal travel (0–5%).• Employment Type: Full-Time.• Physical: Occasional lifting/carrying up to ~40 lbs and time spent in a dock environment (weather, noise, dust,material-handling equipment) as needed to support the team.Ready to help make sure every order lands right?
