Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Responsibilities Ensures that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials and services. Works with purchasing, quality and engineering to assist in the resolution of supplier related issues. Performs supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards. Evaluates supplier’s internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback to all departments involved. Develops and maintains the internal supplier rating and reporting system. Qualifications B.A or B.S. Degree in Engineering, Quality Sciences or other relevant study area. Two (2) years minimum experience in the automotive industry with experience in quality and/or materials areas. Preferred Qualifications Production capacity analysis background Tooling knowledge – design and costing Production and Raw Materials scheduling experience Lean Manufacturing concepts acknowledgement Inventory Management and Reconciliation (Scrap Reconciliation Analysis) Container / Packaging studies and definition Proficient in MS office software and the use of statistical software packages. Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Facilitation skills and training skills and abilities. Organizational skills and abilities. Ability to travel on short notice. Knowledge of AIAG, automotive customer, or similar quality requirements.
