Fiber Optic Cable Technician – 2nd Shift

Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fiber Optic Cable Technician to join our 2nd shift team. This position is responsible for assembling, testing, and finishing fiber optic cable assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble fiber optic cables by stripping, crimping, tinning, and cutting cables to precise lengths according to technical drawings and work instructions.
• Perform fiber optic connectorization, including cleaning and polishing fiber ends using established procedures.
• Operate specialized testing equipment to inspect and verify cable assemblies meet company and customer quality requirements.
• Apply labels, rubber boots, protective components, and other finishing materials to completed cable assemblies.
• Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the assembly and testing process.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and production standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fiber optic assembly, cable assembly, electrical assembly, or manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive precision work.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions and technical drawings.
• Comfortable working with small components and specialized tools/equipment.
• Must be dependable and able to work the assigned 2nd shift schedule.
