Binding Producer / Wholesale Producer A dynamic and self‑motivated Binding Producer or Wholesale Producer is needed to join a team of insurance experts. This role requires leveraging brokerage expertise to deliver custom solutions in Casualty, Property, and Professional Liability. The individual will connect retail agents with optimal solutions for their clients, nurture relationships with carriers, and drive profitable premium growth. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about the insurance industry and thrive in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment. Strong broker skills and expertise are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with retail agents to identify their clients’ commercial insurance needs across Casualty, Property, and Professional Liability lines. Place coverage for challenging or complex accounts by negotiating competitive rates and terms with insurance carriers. Create and maintain a portfolio of insurance carriers and build strong partnerships to obtain the best available markets, solutions, and coverage options. Conduct thorough risk analysis to ensure underwriting profitability and compliance with carrier guidelines. Assist in creating innovative commercial programs or policy offerings that meet the needs of niche markets and underserved clients. Serve as a resource and expert for retail agents by providing insights, market intel, and valuable business strategies. Manage contracts, renewals, and mid‑term servicing obligations for accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, sales professionals, and account managers, to align operational strategies and client‑centered goals. Maintain and update prospect pipelines and production reports to reflect progress and business growth. Qualifications / Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of proven success in a similar wholesale producer or binding producer role, with expertise in Casualty, Property, and Professional Liability lines. Skills: Exceptional brokerage and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to place complex risks in competitive markets. Knowledge: Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, market trends, risk management, and regulatory requirements related to commercial insurance. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain insurance concepts in a clear and accessible manner. Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain high‑quality relationships with retail agents, clients, and carriers. Certifications: Professional designations such as CIC, CICR, CPCU, or equivalent are preferred (but not required). Technology: Proficiency in insurance software platforms such as AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar, as well as strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience in the insurance industry.
