divh2Registered Nurse/h2pThe Registered Nurse prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the health care systems mission and, nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Has full access to patient health information./ppAssesses patients needs. Accurately analyzes the assessment data collected, identifies problem(s) and formulates appropriate nursing interventions./ppUtilizes appropriate Standards of Care, policies and procedures in developing plan of care./ppInstitutes appropriate protective/preventative measures when indicated./ppIdentifies and provides appropriate education relevant to the patients plan of care during visit. Evaluates patients response to education and makes referrals to other disciplines when appropriate./ppDemonstrates basic knowledge of actions/side effects of medications and administers medications safely./ppEvaluates patient responses to treatments when they are completed./ppHandles patient complaints./ppEstablishes patient payment schedules. Enter patient registration and discharge information./ppPerforms the correct posting of all insurance payments/charges and filing of all statements/claims. Ensures accurate procedure/diagnosis codes and adjustments to patient accounts./ppAssists with the physician schedule, which includes on-call, in-office, and hospital schedules./ppContributes toward the revision of practice policies and procedures, job descriptions, and fee schedules as requested./ppRequirements:/ppCurrent Registered Nurse licensure in N.C./pp3 years of medical office experience required, 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred./ppBLS Certification by American Red Cross or the American Heart Association/ppComputer skills to include Microsoft Office and an electronic health record platform/ppAbility to make decisions independently and to resolve problems/conflicts in an effective manner./ppExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
