Position Summary

We are seeking dependable General Labor Team Members to support daily production operations on a powder coat line at a manufacturing facility in Shiner, TX. This position plays an important role in preparing, coating, and handling metal components while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing, production, powder coating, painting, or material handling experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Move sandblasted bumpers, grill guards, and other metal components into the paint booth for processing.
• Use air hoses to remove dust, debris, and contaminants from parts prior to coating.
• Apply powder coating according to established procedures, production requirements, and quality standards.
• Inspect finished and in-process parts for proper coverage, appearance, and overall quality.
• Operate and perform basic upkeep of powder coating equipment, tools, and related production equipment.
• Read and follow work orders, prints, measurements, and production instructions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and required PPE standards, including eye, hand, foot, and hearing protection.
• Work collaboratively with team members and rotate into other production areas as needed to support overall operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, painting, powder coating, or industrial experience preferred.
• Previous lift truck/forklift experience preferred; training may be available.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, prints, and measurements.
• Familiarity with production equipment such as coating guns, pumps, compressors, air hoses, or measuring tools is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver 50+ pounds consistently.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, kneel, reach, lift, and maneuver materials.
• Comfortable working around fumes, airborne particles, equipment, and elevated noise levels.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new processes and assist in other production areas as needed.

Work Environment

• This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a powder coating production environment. 
• Employees should be comfortable working around industrial equipment, airborne particles, fumes, and elevated noise levels while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Schedule & Compensation

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 4:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 pm - 3:30 am
• $16.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on shift
