Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for a variety of patient demographics, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using both standardized methods and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver hands-on speech therapy focusing on communication modalities, language abilities, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing techniques.
• Work in conjunction with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance therapy progress beyond clinical appointments.
• Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, guaranteeing that patient care is consistent throughout their rehabilitation experience.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation that adheres to state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Commit to continuous education and collaborate with peers to stay in tune with the latest developments in speech therapy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if the candidate is not yet ASHA certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Must hold a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
