This position is located in Historic Downtown Fort Pierce, FL.

Our firm is seeking an experienced CPA Tax Accountant to join our growing and client-focused practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, preparing complex tax returns, and providing proactive tax planning and advisory services.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and review Federal, State, and Local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, individuals and nonprofit organizations.

· Provide proactive tax planning strategies and advisory services to clients throughout the year.

· Research complex tax issues, communicate findings and recommendations to clients/leadership.

· Prepare tax projections and estimated tax calculations.

· Review client financial statements and accounting records to ensure accurate tax reporting.

· Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and other tax-related correspondence.

· Collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities and maintain compliance with current tax laws.

· Maintain organized electronic workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm standards.

· Build strong internal relationships, foster teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

· Stay current on changes to federal and state tax regulations through continuing professional education.

Qualifications

· Active CPA license required.

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

· 3+ years of public accounting experience with emphasis in tax preparation and planning.

· Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax laws.

· Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.

· Proficiency with Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite, including UltraTax CS and Accounting CS

· Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop is preferred.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines during busy seasons.
