Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Echo/Vascular/Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. This role involves independently operating sonographic equipment to perform and communicate diagnostic examinations. You will oversee daily sonography department operations, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance, while upholding high medical ethics and continuously expanding your expertise in sonography and related procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate program activities to ensure consistent, patient-centered care and efficient department operations aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of sonography programs, protocols, and policies, monitoring outcomes and initiating enhancements as needed.
• Perform all sonographic examinations as ordered, prepare preliminary reports, and communicate with referring physicians.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance healthcare initiatives and participate in professional groups and committees.
• Manage staff relationships, foster teamwork, and resolve conflicts constructively.
• Communicate vision and direction effectively to motivate and inspire the team.
• Manage financial resources, maintain equipment and facilities, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a minimum grade of "C."
• At least 12 months of experience preferred, including routine, vascular, OB/GYN, and breast ultrasonography.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certification from an ARDMS-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Active or obtainable American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification within 18 months of hire (SPI and AB specialties).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of sonography practices and clinical skills, with the ability to perform, evaluate, and teach sonography tasks.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, delegation, and coaching capabilities.
• Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Physical Requirements

Includes frequent lifting and carrying of varying weights, standing, walking, bending, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Vision, hearing, and speech within normal range with or without corrective devices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with 8-hour shifts in a 40-hour workweek. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting in the Pacific Northwest, offering a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
