About the Role We are looking for part‑time Sales Associates to provide excellent customer service, drive sales, and maintain a welcoming store environment. Candidates will greet customers, handle transactions, keep shelves stocked, and support team objectives. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly, acknowledging them immediately and handling multiple customers efficiently. Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and aim to convert returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management regarding merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Qualifications At least 16 years old. Available to work a flexible schedule. Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and hand‑held/mobile devices. Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers. Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally. Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Frequently operate a cash register. Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5–10 feet. Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor. Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face in the store, and with managers and coworkers. Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, and between the stock room and sales floor. Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel. Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures. Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
