Director of Inside Sales

The client is seeking a Director of Inside Sales to lead and develop a high-performing inside sales team responsible for delivering consistent, accurate, and responsive support to members and partners. This role is focused on team execution—driving performance, accountability, and capability across Inside Sales Account Executives and Quote Specialists to ensure the team operates with speed, precision, and professionalism. The director will own overall team performance and drive productivity and responsiveness across regions. Key responsibilities include leading, coaching, and developing Inside Sales Account Executives and Quote Specialists; establishing clear expectations for performance and accountability; supporting hiring, onboarding, and continuous development; and conducting regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and pipeline discussions. The director will execute defined sales processes with discipline, maintain service levels across quote turnaround time, order accuracy, and responsiveness, and partner with Sales Operations to provide structured feedback on process effectiveness, system usability, and workflow challenges. The role also involves partnering with Regional Sales Directors to improve pipeline conversion and coordinating inside/outside sales efforts to support strategic account execution. Additional responsibilities include managing team workload and resource allocation to sustain consistent service levels, monitoring productivity and adjusting staffing or responsibilities as needed, and managing escalations and complex opportunities. The director may provide limited direct support on complex or high-impact opportunities when necessary, with an emphasis on enabling team success. Qualifications include 7–10+ years in inside sales, sales, or commercial roles, and 3–5+ years leading sales or inside sales support teams, along with demonstrated success improving team performance and operational efficiency, strong coaching and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in wholesale distribution, security, or Pro A/V is preferred, and familiarity with CRM/ERP systems is expected, with NetSuite preferred.
