Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify patients' emotional and environmental needs, tailoring interventions accordingly.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic methodologies, including crisis intervention, group and individual therapy, providing holistic support for patients facing different life challenges.

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring to include the patient and their family in the decision-making process for a seamless recovery.

• Facilitate smooth discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare providers, third-party payers, and other professionals to develop suitable plans that address ongoing patient needs.

• Implement therapeutic interventions and educational programs to assist patients and families in adapting to diagnoses and treatment protocols, enhancing their overall well-being.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to manage after-hours crises and assist in the evaluation of patients for potential involuntary examinations under the Baker Act, providing timely support and intervention.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and resources available for cancer survivors and other populations.

• Contribute to the profession by presenting at educational conferences and training sessions, sharing expertise and recent developments in psychosocial oncology and social work.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff, cultivating a knowledgeable and supportive team environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on patients admitted to our detox center, often experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse disorders, and other psychosocial issues related to their health conditions. You will work closely with individuals and families navigating the complexities of addiction and recovery, providing compassionate support and developing tailored approaches to promote resilience and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work and current LCSW licensure for the state of Texas.

• Proven experience in providing clinical social work services, preferably in detox or rehabilitation environments.

This role offers competitive annual compensation ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
