Dental Lab Technician II

We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician II opportunity at NDX Nelson in Rochester Hills, MI.


The regular hours for this position are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday , and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions of the Position:

• Read prescriptions and specifications received from the dentist
• Check models for defect that need correcting before fabrication begins
• Check articulation of models for proper occlusal relationship
• Post dam upper models
• Set pin on articulator to establish vertical relationship
• Double check teeth to be used for correct mold and shade
• Place wax on baseplate and set teeth on the arch in proper alignment to achieve proper function and good aesthetics
• When setting for wax try-in, soak model in water before set-up. Check occlusion to be sure correct bite relationship has been achieved
• Maintain a clean work area
• All other duties as assigned

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Detail oriented

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent

• Small machinery
• Hand pieces
• Chemicals

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
