Key Responsibilities

Reserves, Prepaids & Commission Accounting

• Prepare monthly bad debt write-offs and calculate the CECL bad debt reserve using established methodologies and models.
• Manage capitalized commission accounting, including asset setup, monthly amortization, and write-offs for terminated customer contracts.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement variance (flux) analyses, identifying key drivers and providing actionable insights.
• Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Complete weekly cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Tax, Audit & Compliance

• Support sales tax compliance activities, including state registrations, exemption certificate management, and customer outreach related to tax-exempt status.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.

Accounting Policies, Controls & Process Improvement

• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support compliance and financial reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and month-end close timelines, including the use of AI-driven solutions where appropriate.

Additional Responsibilities

• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for management.
• Support special accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
