Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Madison County Detention Center in Alabama. Working nights doesn't mean putting your nursing career on hold. You'll provide essential healthcare to a unique patient population while working alongside a supportive medical team. And yes, your nights and weekends are worth more here with a shift differential.

What You'll Do

As part of our correctional healthcare team, you'll provide hands-on nursing care while helping ensure patients receive timely, compassionate, and appropriate medical attention. Your responsibilities may include:

• Performing nursing assessments and monitoring patient conditions
• Administering medications and treatments within your scope of practice
• Responding to urgent and emergent medical needs
• Recognizing changes in patient conditions and communicating them appropriately
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Providing patient education and supporting continuity of care
• Following established clinical protocols and standards of care
• Collaborating with nurses, providers, and correctional staff
• Promoting a safe, professional, and therapeutic healthcare environment

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

For RN Candidates:

• Current, unrestricted Alabama RN license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

For LPN Candidates:

• Current, unrestricted Alabama LPN license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

For All Candidates:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional and compassionate approach to patient care
• Correctional healthcare experience is welcomed, but not required
