Seeking a full-time organized, detailed oriented, pragmatic, and collaborative registered dietitian to join the Family Health team based in either Wexford, Mecosta, Newaygo, Crawford, Kalkaska, Manistee, Missiawkee, Lake, Mason, or Oceana County Office. General Responsibilities Promotes individual and population health through advanced, comprehensive nutrition education, counseling and community based initiatives. Provides advanced dietary and nutrition knowledge, counseling and recommendations for clients and families participating in Maternal Child Health programs in the clinic and/or home setting. Develops diet and nutrition plan of care based on a comprehensive assessment and client needs and interests. Serves as professional resource and nutrition expert participating in community-based programs, grants and coalitions. May staff WIC clinics serving as the WIC Nutrition Specialist, completing health and nutrition screenings and assessments for women, infants and children. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND); RDN‑Eligible candidates will be considered. Experience in clinical and/or community health and nutrition preferred. Ability to navigate and use electronic databases, enter and retrieve information in electronic health record; and proficiency in Office 365 applications. Self‑motivated and ability to work independently, and plan and prioritize with minimal supervision. Critical thinking and decision‑making skills in client care and policy implementation; and ability to apply client‑centered services (CCS) skills to engage clients in health behavior changes and outcomes. Advanced communication skills and abilities to work effectively with all levels of staff, clients and community partners; and engage clients from diverse socio‑economic, cultural and educational backgrounds. Reliable transportation with valid MI driver’s license and certification of insurance. Why work here?
