Student Care Worker - Individualized Learning Centers (ILC SCW)EdAdvance is redefining what a Regional Education Service Center can be using a systemic approach grounded in the "3C's", Connection Culture, and Customization. EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to provide behavioral and instructional support.Major Responsibilities & Requirements:Provide instructional support across general and special education classesImplement behavioral prevention and management strategies individualized to student needsCollection and on-going maintenance of behavioral data collectionAbility to assist with hygiene (i.e. toileting) routinesProactive and consistent communication with student's school teamAvailability to work specified school hours and attend all required meetings and trainingsExperience in de-escalation techniques or willingness to be trainedOther duties as assigned by supervising Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)Qualifications:Must meet Federal No Child Left Behind (NCLB) paraeducator standards: High School diploma or GED diploma AND Two years of college credit, OR An Associate's (or higher) degree, OR Pass the State Board of Education adopted paraeducation assessment, (ParaPro) which assesses content knowledge in mathematics, reading, writing and an understanding of how to assist in the instructions of these topics.Previous experience working in a public school settingExcellent professionalism and communication skillsDemonstrated responsibility, reliability, and dependabilityAbility to safely perform physical restraint techniques when necessaryMust have a valid CT driver's license and maintain active vehicle insuranceBenefits:Hourly compensation based on experience (up to $24.35)Competitive health benefits packagePersonal and sick timeContinuing education stipendOn-going RBT supervision hours provided by supervising BCBAApplication Procedure:Applications should be submitted for consideration by visiting EdAdvance's employment page and click on the APPLY button next to the job posting of interest.
