Job TitleJob DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Manages and provides construction oversight to OARsResolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreementsDevelop, assign, and monitor performance of OARs relative to assigned construction projectsReviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedulesReview change orders from all construction projects and assess their impact to the DistrictAssists Regional Directors and other Facilities management staff with bid and contract planningAssess bid specifications for District need and probability of completion under stated timelineReviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reportingReviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projectsProvides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality controlReviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for the architect and related consultantsCoordinates program activities with other District organizational branches and departmentsReviews and resolves disputes related to construction projectsDevelop and recommend internal policies and proceduresPerforms other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Combined Qualifications: Candidates who meet one of the following combinations of qualifications will be considered for this position:Twenty (20) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experienceTen (10) of the 20 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative)Must have five (5) years' experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering or construction management.Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) may substitute for the education requirement.ORTwenty-five (25) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experienceTwenty (20) of the 25 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative)Must have five (5) years' experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)Preferred (Not Required): Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering or construction managementPreferred (Not Required): A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).Preferred Qualifications:Design Build ExperienceExperience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processesA valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land SurveyorsBenefitsVanir offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package that includes 401(k) Savings with employer matching contributions, medical, dental, vision, health savings account (HSA) with employer contributions, life, AD&D and disability benefits, flexible spending account (FSA), voluntary benefits, Teladoc, pet insurance, paid time off, national employee assistance program (EAP) and employee referral program.How to ApplyIf you're interested in working for Vanir please visit our website to learn more and to apply online.VEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/DisabledContact Email: View email address on click.appcast.io Participate in E-VerifyPursuant to the Ban The Box Act/Fair Chance Initiative, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Posted Salary RangeUSD $185,687.00 - USD $200,687.00 /Yr.
