As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking a Controller to help improve the days to day accounting function and help with strategic decision-making. Summary The Controller will oversee the monthly close process, maintain a strong internal control environment, and partner with leadership to improve financial processes, budgeting, forecasting, and business reporting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys building scalable processes, leveraging technology to automate manual tasks, and supporting a growing organization. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including the month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure the timely preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and overall integrity of the company's financial records. Develop, implement, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes, improve workflows, and enhance the use of technology to increase efficiency. Partner with the COO & FP&A to improve budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting. Develop meaningful KPI reporting, dashboards, and management reporting to support business decisions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial reporting requirements. Ideal Background Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Experience in healthcare and/or life sciences space Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience leading the month-end close and managing accounting operations. Proven success improving processes, implementing automation, and building scalable accounting functions.
