About the Role:

York Preparatory School is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and professional Assistant to the Head of School to provide executive-level support while overseeing key administrative and front office operations. Working closely with the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team, this role is responsible for managing executive communications, coordinating major school events, maintaining student and administrative records, supervising front office staff, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships across the school community.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a highly organized and professional administrator with significant experience providing executive or senior-level administrative support. The ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and build strong relationships across the school community. You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working in a fast-paced environment, with strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively. Experience in an independent school setting and familiarity with Veracross are desirable, while a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
