What You'll Do Complete repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance Prepare apartments for new residents (turnovers) Maintain grounds, common areas, and equipment Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively Coordinate with vendors and safely use tools/equipment What We're Looking For 1+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician Computer proficiency is a plus HVAC knowledge is a plus, particularly with boilers and heating systems. Experience with general plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, apartment turnovers, and preventative maintenance is essential. Why Join Wingate? Navigate at a basic level within web-based applications. Read, and write in English in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively with clients, visitors and other organization staff; and respond to basic questions Understand spoken English in order to follow basic instructions and take direction from supervisors; communicate effectively in Basic English with clients, visitors and organization staff in response to routine questions Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in routine situations. Specialized knowledge not required. General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances and HVAC Excellent customer service skills Possess good communication and interpersonal skills Decision Making: Decisions are based on specific instructions, standard practices and established procedures which generally require little or no supervision Problem Solving: Problems are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures and by identifying opportunities for process improvements Independence of Duties: Work is monitored by supervisor/manager. General instructions and procedures are provided. Flexibility/Adaptability: Work is fairly routine from day to day. Employee follows a set pattern with any changes being communicated by supervisor.
