Staff Accountant

We are recruiting for a leading national hospitality organization known for delivering exceptional guest experiences across a diverse portfolio of brands and locations. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in Schaumburg.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and assist with month-end close processes. This role offers strong growth potential within a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and GAAP
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
• Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ERP experience is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
