As a Contract Special Education Teacher, you’ll work closely with students who have diverse learning needs, supporting their academic and personal growth while collaborating with passionate educators and families.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Special Education teaching credential
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and parents
- Familiarity with a range of instructional strategies and assistive technologies
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction in alignment with each student’s IEP
- Create a supportive, structured classroom setting that nurtures learning and confidence
- Adapt curriculum, assessments, and activities to accommodate diverse abilities
- Track and document student progress, regularly updating goals and objectives
- Partner with general education teachers, specialists, and families for holistic support
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
