Description

• Deliver focused speech therapy interventions in one-on-one sessions, honing in on aspects such as language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and healthcare professionals to foster cohesive care.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring holistic care throughout the patient's journey.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly according to established standards and regulations.
• Commit to staying informed of the latest advancements in speech therapy through continuous education and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), leading towards ASHA certification if applicable.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
