Senior Staff Accountant

Munck Wilson Mandala is looking to add a senior staff accountant to its finance and accounting team in the Uptown Dallas office. This position will work closely with the Controller and CFO and will be responsible for general accounting functions, ensuring proper accounting processes and controls, as well as producing highly visible financial statements that drive the economic decision-making for the firm. This position will also play an integral role in the operational efficiency of the department, supporting initiatives around process improvement. The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position. Lead and execute monthly, and annual close processes Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger activity Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are resolved, including the firm’s capital budget and fixed asset processes. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules Analyze variances and provide insights to management Ensure compliance with firm accounting policies Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Lead internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls Coordinate with cross-functional teams on financial matters Assist with system implementations, process improvements, and specialprojects Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4–7+ years of accounting experience, with law firm experience strongly preferred Experience with legal accounting platforms preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong knowledge of GAAP Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication skills to collaborate with attorneys and leadership Integrity and discretion handling confidential financial information #J-18808-Ljbffr Munck Wilson Mandala LLP
