Health Technician (Specimen Processing)

Job Title

Job Description

Help

Perform phlebotomy procedures such as venipuncture and puncture; determine type of specimen to be collected; and draw and/or collect blood samples for test procedures.
Process specimens in accordance with the test procedure requirements.
Greets and screen patients at the Laboratory Reception Desk, obtaining information to determine need, eligibility of care and priority for testing.
Prepare samples for shipment by centrifuging sample and separating serum.
