7:30AM - 4:00PM Monday-Friday

$20-22 per hour based on experience

Job Description

The shipper and receiver will work in a warehouse environment and handle all aspects of shipping and receiving, including unloading and loading trucks, verifying and organizing inventory, and preparing materials for production and outbound shipment. This role requires accurate order picking, careful documentation, and consistent attention to detail to ensure products, materials, and supplies move efficiently through the facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies in the warehouse.
• Perform all core shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks, sorting, and stocking receivables.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move, load, unload, and palletize materials.
• Hand pick orders accurately according to pick lists and packing requirements.
• Perform visual checks and inspections of items received to verify accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and ready work area in the shipping and receiving department.
• Use RF scanners and related equipment to track, scan, and record inventory movements.
• Conduct cycle counts and inspect inventory to maintain accurate inventory levels of products and packaging materials.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including warehouse inventory checks and documentation.
• Prepare kit pools for production as needed, ensuring correct materials and quantities are available.
• Pack and package products securely and correctly for shipment.
• Engage with vendors and drivers in a professional and positive manner during deliveries and pickups.
• Follow all safety procedures in an environment with overhead cranes and moving forklifts.
• Collaborate with a small warehouse team while also working independently on assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse and production operations.

Skills

• Proven experience with shipping and receiving in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift operating experience, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Experience with pallet jacks and general material handling.
• Hand picking and order picking experience with strong accuracy.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in handling, checking, and documenting inventory and shipments.
• Experience with loading and unloading trucks and palletizing materials.
• Ability to perform inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and warehouse inventory checks.
• Comfort using RF scanners for inventory and order processing.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks in a production and warehouse setting.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area in a busy warehouse environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in packing and packaging products for shipment.
• Experience in production or manufacturing support is an asset.
• Ability to prepare kits or kit pools for production when required.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with drivers and vendors.
• Comfort working in a smaller, close-knit team while also being able to work independently.
• Willingness to learn additional warehouse tasks and participate in training and growth opportunities.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
