The main duties and responsibilities of a Material Handler – Shipping include picking materials and packing materials to prepare for shipment.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse.Accurately read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shipped.Accurately identifying items based on order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity is selected.Pack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirements.Ensure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transit.Coordinate the shipment process by preparing shipping labels, verifying addresses, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete.Collaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packages.Conduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepancies.Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as needed.Work effectively as a team to achieve daily shipping goals.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of an employee for this job. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.Required Qualifications1. Willingness to be trained to operate heavy lift equipment to meet the requirement of the job duties.Preferred QualificationsProven and successful track record working in a similar role.This is a full-time position, on-site at the manufacturing facility.
