Job Description

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPC) is focused on providing exceptional care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgery, including but not limited to open heart surgery and various thoracic procedures. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and support for medical cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries
• Oversee telemetry for patients with various cardiac diagnoses
• Perform essential procedures, including epidural management and chest tube management
• Administer medications and monitor patient response to treatments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have prior stepdown and telemetry experience
• Preferred candidates will have experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgical patients
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
