Global Mobility Analyst (Immigration Specialist)

Lead the International Worker Program and execute the development, implementation and administration of the Immigration & Global Mobility initiatives across the organization. Ensure all applications for immigration and visas are completed accurately and timely. Identify and implement efficiencies and standardization, develop and execute project plans and initiatives, deliver international transactional services, and counsel associates and senior leaders on what visas are appropriate to authorize based on the purpose and length of travel. Responsible for conducting informational sessions with travelers and leaders prior to travel, supporting global mobility strategies and business objectives, create and administer immigration and global mobility policies and programs and remain current with all immigration law changes and their impact to NFCU. Subject matter expert for immigration laws related to employment and work visas, supporting organizational compliance with immigration laws and regulations in all countries with NFCU's entities Work with outside legal counsel, relocation management company, internal NFCU's leaders and associates, Talent Acquisition, NFCU's Travel, NFCU's Legal, and NFCU's Tax to provide immigration guidance, strategy and ensure compliance to NFCU's policies and immigration law Lead immigration team for all PERM initiations, I-140 petitions, Adjustment of Status and Green Card applications, as well as conducting data research to assist with strategic decisions within immigration and global mobility Understand the complete life cycle of a sponsored associate from hire to Green Card holder and articulate simply to stakeholders Manage immigration and global mobility cases for business travel and sponsorship from start to completion ensuring legal compliance, optimal processing timeliness and maximum efficiency Develop, coordinate and implement the sponsorship process for associates who need visas, green cards, passports, work permits, benefits, and assist with expatriate assignments Determine when a situation needs escalation and requires legal review, otherwise provide guidance to employees and management of situations. Work with Legal and outside counsel to manage escalation of issues and exceptions, to include audits and RFE's (request for evidence) Analyze and update processes to develop strong client relationships and improve support to foreign nationals, providing new and creative ways to link foreign nationals to the company. Utilize system support within Oracle HCM and ServiceNow to create seamless process flow Prepare and advise on cost management strategies and assignment cost projections by creating and maintaining a tracking mechanism of assignment details, benefits, costs and immigration and employment documents. Counsel finance partners and hiring managers on cost of sponsored associates Educate, counsel and communicate Immigration and Global Mobility practices within NFCU to facilitate compliance with employment practices by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Immigration and Global Mobility legislation, regulations, current practices, and trends. Act as lead for NFCU's strategy and immigration law updates Create training materials and train foreign nationals, managers/directors, HRBPs, talent acquisition and business leaders on Immigration & Global Mobility practices Train global mobility associates for administrative functions within immigration and determine when assistance is required Qualifications

Experience working in a company with a complex international visa and sponsorship Experience creating reports, communications, and presentations to all levels of management Experience with developing and implementing Expatriate Assignments Experience working with and managing vendor relationships for immigration, compliance, and reporting, etc. Demonstrates expert understanding of immigration law and best practices Demonstrates expert knowledge and application of effective screening and interview techniques Track record of accountability and follow-through with the ability to interface and influence across the organization Ability to effectively work in complex, sensitive, and ambiguous situations Ability to work independently and in a team environment Advanced skills in training and mentoring teammates. Expert verbal and written communication skills Expert skill interacting tactfully and effectively in difficult situations Advanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy, and tact Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions Effective skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes Effective skill speaking and/or presenting in front of groups in a professional setting Expert organizational, planning and time management skills Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, International Business, or related field; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree Desired Qualifications Experience in financial services and knowledge of bank processes and services is preferred Experience in recruitment efforts for a large scale, national or international company Additional Information Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM Location: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180
