Speech-Language Pathologist in Salem, VA

A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential speech therapy services in an educational setting. This position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time schedules based on your preference, servicing students throughout a full school year onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' communication goals
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress and success
• Document therapy sessions and track student progress in accordance with school policies and regulations
• Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations to support speech and language development within the classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Valid and current certification or licensure as an SLP or SLPA
• Experience working in schools or familiarity with educational speech therapy practices preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work onsite in Salem, VA with a flexible schedule accommodating either full-time or part-time engagement for the entire school year
