Senior Accountant

Teal Energi is partnered with a growing company in a dynamic, transaction-driven industry that is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting and back-office operations. This role will focus on financial reporting, billing support, cash management, and process improvement initiatives. The position works closely with cross-functional teams and plays a key role in enhancing reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and AR/AP processing Support revenue recognition tied to contract-based or usage-driven billing models Partner with internal teams to monitor receivables and ensure timely reporting Assist with cash management and bank reconciliations Support billing operations and high-volume data processing Prepare financial statements and assist with internal reporting packages Analyze budget vs. actuals and contribute to forecasting activities Identify process improvement opportunities and support system enhancements Utilize advanced Excel and emerging tools to streamline workflows Assist with internal/external audits and compliance-related requests Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed Qualifications 2+ years of accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) Preferred Experience with ISO settlements, particularly ERCOT and PJM. Retail Power Business experience strongly preferred.
