Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients. Utilizes the nursing process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of patients. Identifies the best methods for accomplishing long and short-term goals by creating plans and evaluating unit performance objectively. Organizes, coordinates, and prioritizes time and resources to improve efficiency and overcome obstacles. Analyzes problems systematically, logically, and timely, facilitating creative development of new processes and standards to ensure quality patient care and smooth unit operations. Prepares, monitors, and manages operational and capital budgets, applying key financial concepts to decision-making. Educates staff in performance improvement activities, coaching them for enhanced problem-solving and critical thinking. Recruits, selects, and hires effective staff, identifying and filling gaps in unit skills and knowledge. Performs other duties as assigned.
