Automotive Technician - Group 1 Automotive

Overview Group 1 Automotive is a fast-growing leader in automotive retail, and we are looking to add qualified Automotive Technicians to our team. Responsibilities Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in different specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred Excellent customer service skills Professional appearance and work ethic Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
