At PVS Metals, on-time delivery isn't just a goal — it's a commitment to every customer we serve. We're hiring a Material Handler for our 2nd shift team to plan, schedule, and document deliveries while keeping our shipping and receiving operations running accurately and efficiently.

This is an active, hands-on role that's critical to our production flow — and it comes with a shift differential on top of competitive base pay, a 4-day work week, and every morning and every Friday to yourself.

The Details

• Starting pay: $19.00–$21.00/hr depending on experience
• Shift differential: +$2.00/hr — bringing your effective rate to $21–$23/hr
• Hours: Mon–Thu, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Schedule: 4-day work week — Fridays always off
• Your mornings are always free

What You'll Do

• Administer all shipping and receiving documentation accurately and on time
• Plan and schedule delivery sequences taking truck capacities and customer priorities into account
• Communicate schedule and delivery sequence changes to the Sales Department in a timely manner
• Track and report on-time delivery performance data to support continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, DOT regulations, OSHA requirements , and company procedures
• Assist in the development and training of other crew members
• Represent PVS Metals in a professional and friendly manner with drivers, vendors, and internal teams
• Support Continuous Improvement Programs and other company initiatives
• Promote strong team spirit within the department and across departments

What We're Looking For

• Experience in shipping, receiving, material handling, or logistics in a manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and administrative skills — accurate documentation is a core part of this role
• Solid computer proficiency — you're comfortable entering and managing data
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus
• Ability to lift and/or move items over 75 lbs frequently throughout the shift
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and moving mechanical parts
• Strong communication skills — you interact with sales, production, and drivers regularly
• Reliable, responsible, and a genuine team player who supports those around them
• Problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through
