Renewable Energy Tax Associate

Posting details Tax Associate Denver | Orange County | Phoenix | Salt Lake City | San Diego Snell & Wilmer seeks to hire an associate with one to three years of tax credit experience to join our tax practice group in our Phoenix office, or, depending on the candidate’s level of experience, in any of our other offices listed. The position requires substantive experience with community development and renewable energy tax credits and Opportunity Zone transactions. Candidates must also have an L.L.M. in tax, admission to practice law in the state in which they will practice, and excellent communication and writing skills. In addition to tax credit work, experience in transactional tax practice, including the taxation and structuring of corporate and partnership business transactions and drafting and negotiating tax-related provisions in M&A transaction documents is a plus. This is a full-time, partnership-track position eligible to participate in the firm’s benefit plans, including our 401(k) Profit Sharing and Savings Plan with discretionary employer contribution, and eligible for consideration for annual discretionary bonuses. The annual base salary range for candidates placed in Colorado is expected to be $200,000-$221,000, depending on experience. The annual base salary range for candidates placed in California is expected to be $210,000-$232,000, depending on experience. We are not currently accepting recruiter submissions for this role.
