Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have a comprehensive knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy; knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, and spreadsheet software. [Required] Must have the ability to plan, organize and direct the work of others. [Required] Must have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, staff, physicians, and management staff. [Required] Must be knowledgeable with the National Research Council’s Recommended Dietary Allowances. [Required] Must be knowledgeable regarding national and state standards and regulations affecting RD practice. [Required] Must have demonstrated leadership and administrative experience through at least 6 months’ experience as a lead/supervisor. [Required] Read, write and speak English; handwriting must be legible [Required] Ability to apply Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process [Required] Mathematical capabilities essential to job duties [Required] Proficient in Microsoft Windows [Required] EQUIPMENT USED [Preferred] Must be able to use a telephone, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer [Required] Proficiency in CBORD computerized foodservice program [Preferred] Education: Bachelor's [Required] Master's [Preferred] Field of Study: in dietetics, foods and nutrition or related area, such as business administration, health services administration, or public health, granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university. Completion of an academic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics Work Experience: 3+ clinical experience [Required] Additional Information: Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
