Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician performs both preventative and reactive maintenance and repair on a wide range of plant equipment, including extraction systems, mix-blend equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, cooling towers, waste treatment systems, water softeners, reverse osmosis (RO) units, and other production machinery. This role involves a variety of light electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic work and plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and consistent production performance.ResponsibilitiesPerform planned, corrective, and unplanned maintenance on specified production and facility equipment.Troubleshoot and repair equipment using available documentation, schematics, and technical resources.Execute the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.Inspect operating machines and equipment to verify conformance with operational and safety standards.Ensure safety in the workplace by identifying, correcting, and eliminating unsafe conditions.Protect company assets by intervening in any condition that could result in abuse or damage to equipment or buildings.Support and adhere to established Quality Systems to maintain product and process integrity.Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with facility standards.Maintain clear oral and written communication within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions and accurate handoffs.Work on light electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and components.Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and light hydraulic repairs on production and support equipment.Utilize PLC troubleshooting methods and HMIs to diagnose issues in automated manufacturing systems.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to guide repair and maintenance activities.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from competitive compensation, strong job security, and a stable operation that values long-term employment. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
