Head of Operations – US Launch JAQ Group | Indianapolis, Indiana | Full-Time This isn't a job. It's a chapter one. JAQ Group is a fast-growing UK fragrance brand — and right now, we're doing something most operators only dream about: we're building our US operation from scratch. Not inheriting someone else's mess. Not patching a broken system. Starting from zero and doing it right. We're establishing our first US distribution centre in Indianapolis, and we need the person who's going to own it. The one who gets excited by a blank warehouse floor and sees what it could become. The one who doesn't just maintain standards — they set them. Who we are JAQ Group is a founder-led, product-obsessed fragrance brand that's grown rapidly in the UK and now has serious, proven demand in the US market. By October 2026, we'll be operational in the US with a 20,000–25,000 sq ft facility, our own team on the ground, and the ambition to scale to signicantly. This is a brand that moves fast, thinks smart, and doesn't sit still. The role As Head of Operations , you'll report directly to the COO and be the most senior operational voice in the US. You're not managing a steady state — you're building one . From day one, you'll be shaping how we operate: the people we hire, the processes we build, the KPIs we track, and the culture we create. You'll oversee despatch, logistics, inventory, health & safety, and everything in between — and you'll have the leadership weight to make things happen. What you'll actually be doing: Designing and implementing the operational strategy for our brand-new US facility Building and leading a team of supervisors and warehouse operatives from the ground up Owning inventory control and working closely with our UK supply chain team to keep stock flowing Setting the KPIs, building the reporting frameworks, and driving continuous improvement Leading health & safety compliance across the site — no shortcuts Managing supplier and contractor relationships to keep costs sharp and service high Working hand-in-hand with our tech team as we implement a new WMS and embed it into daily operations What we're looking for You've done this before. Not necessarily for a fragrance brand, but you know what a high-growth, fast-moving warehouse operation looks like — and you know how to run one. 5+ years in a senior operations role within warehouse or logistics Experience managing large teams and building high-performance cultures Strong grasp of WMS/ERP systems (experience a big plus — we're implementing one) Data-driven: you use numbers to make decisions, not justify them after the fact A track record of improving KPIs, productivity, and operational efficiency Solid knowledge of US health & safety regulations Sharp communicator — you're as comfortable presenting to the COO as you are on the warehouse floor Why this one's different Most operations roles ask you to look after something someone else built.
