Responsibilities
Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Location: Hybrid – New Jersey Corporate Office
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role focused heavily on employee relations and leave management. This individual will partner closely with leadership to manage complex employee matters, ensure compliance, and support a positive, high-performing work environment.
This role will lead the administration of FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs, guide managers through sensitive situations, and ensure consistent application of policies across a multi-state footprint.Qualifications
- Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR partner for employee relations matters
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and policy violations
- Coach managers on performance management, corrective action, and employee engagement
- Draft disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and employee communications
- FMLA / Leave of Absence (LOA)
- Manage end-to-end administration of FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves
- Oversee eligibility, documentation, approvals, tracking, and return-to-work processes
- Facilitate the interactive process and reasonable accommodations
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state leave laws
- Compliance & HR Partnership
- Ensure consistent application of policies and employment laws
- Maintain compliance across a multi-state environment
- Partner with leadership to address trends, risks, and workforce needs
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and organizational changes
- other tasks as assigned.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations and leave management
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and multi-state employment laws (NJ preferred)
- Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-state organization
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience in healthcare, ABA, or multi-site organizations
