Head of Brand Strategy

What You’ll Do Docusign is looking for a Lead Brand Strategist to serve as a key architect of our brand’s long‑term evolution. Working closely with our VP of Brand, you will bridge the gap between high‑level market intelligence and world‑class execution. You will shepherd the brand from its current standing to a future where it continues to lead and function as a platform, ensuring every touchpoint is rooted in deep market insight and strategic intent. Build and own a multi‑year brand roadmap, developing and evolving the brand positioning, architecture, and messaging frameworks that differentiate Docusign in a shifting landscape. Own the development and governance of naming and nomenclature across products and experiences, ensuring a clear, consistent, and customer‑first system that translates complex capabilities into simple, intuitive language. Partner with the business strategy ops team to identify emerging markets, analyze market saturation, and pinpoint white‑space opportunities for brand growth. Lead brand health and sentiment research initiatives, turning raw data into actionable insights, and ensuring a pulse on how customers, prospects, and the industry perceive us. Partner closely with Group Creative Directors to turn complex strategies into inspiring creative briefs and maintain alignment with the overarching brand vision. Oversee the execution of strategic pillars across the Brand & Creative team, ensuring consistency and impact. Bring the brand to life in a clear, compelling, and deeply customer‑centered way, championing bold ideas and high standards while acting as a cultural catalyst across functions. Job Designation Hybrid: The employee divides their time between in‑office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. Frequency: a minimum of two days per week in‑office. Positions are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote. Designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. What You Bring Basic Requirements BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. 12+ years of experience in brand strategy (in‑house or agency). Preferred Qualifications Experience within a high‑growth B2B or SaaS environment. Comfortable diving into market data and research reports while knowing which insights truly matter. Ability to distill complex market dynamics into a clear, compelling narrative that inspires designers, writers, and executives alike. Proficiency in influencing without authority and building strong partnerships with creative leads to drive optimal work. Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. California: $146,400.00 – $235,375.00 base salary Illinois: $140,100.00 – $197,925.00 base salary Washington: $140,100.00 – $206,775.00 base salary This Role Is Also Eligible For The Following Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on achievement of pre‑established sales goals; non‑sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance. Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits Paid Time Off: earned time off, as well as paid company holidays based on region. Paid Parental Leave: up to six months off with your child after birth, adoption or foster care placement.
