Internal Medicine Physician

Optum CA is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join their Primary Care team in Montibello, CA. As a clinician-led care organization, Optum provides clinical resources, data, and support to help physicians deliver better healthcare. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on advancing community health and contributing new practice ideas. Practice Info Average 18-22 patients per day, following a "Quality vs. Quantity Model" Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of health care providers Daily administrative time built into the Physician's schedule Comfortable seeing patients 18 years of age and older for chronic disease management, annual wellness checks, and routine screenings Appointment schedule: 40 minutes for new consults and 20 minutes for in-office visits, screenings, and follow-up appointments Dedicated Medical Assistant and office support to allow clinicians to focus on practicing at full scope of license Compensation Guaranteed base salary plus incentive based on quality and performance Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $384,000 Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role Benefits Generous PTO CME time 401k with company match UHG Employee Stock Purchase Program Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, & Dental, Life insurance and LTD Company paid medical malpractice coverage Continued professional growth & leadership opportunities including Physician Partnership Shift & Schedule Monday - Friday, no evenings or weekends Clinics are closed for nine company observed holidays Requirements Required: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.), or M.B.B.S Required: Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine Required: Active, unrestricted medical license in CA or the ability to obtain prior to employment Required: Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain prior to employment Required: Active BLS certification Required: Minimum 1-3 years primary care experience Required: Computer Proficient
