Senior Tax Associate

If you are working longer hours during tax season, you should get something back for them. Here, every hour over 45 during busy season is banked as comp time. Take it as extra PTO or have it paid out. You’ll also get 100% employer paid health insurance, paid gym membership, $30 monthly cell phone allowance, 3 weeks PTO, plus holidays. The work is broad. You’ll prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps, trusts, estates and nonprofits. You’ll also get involved in consulting, projections and work around buying and selling businesses and bookkeeping. If you don’t have your Enrolled Agent license, they’ll pay for it, give you study time and you’ll get a bonus once completed. There’s room to grow into more responsibility and management, with annual performance reviews and salary increases. You’ll also have flexibility around appointments and be trusted to get on with your work without being micromanaged. You’ll probably have around 2-4 years of public accounting tax experience, enjoy tax and want to keep learning. Tax season does mean longer weeks, but those extra hours are recognized and compensated. The firm also has no plans to sell or go the private equity route.
