Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural sedation
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and neurological condition throughout the recovery phase
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or acute care post-anesthesia setting
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
