Pharmacy Tech | Westerville, Ohio

An experienced Pharmacy Technician is needed to support a specialty retail pharmacy focused on complex patient medication needs. This temp-to-hire role offers the chance to apply your expertise in a fast-paced setting caring for patients managing multiple chronic conditions.


Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no weekends)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential to convert to permanent based on performance
Start Date: ASAP


Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications, supporting patients who typically take 8-15 medications daily
• Provide compassionate communication and patient education tailored to individuals with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis
• Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure safe and effective medication management for Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients
• Utilize pharmacy software, preferably Pioneer Rx, to manage patient records and workflow

Desired Experience:

• Proven retail or specialty pharmacy technician experience, especially with chronic disease management
• Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 prescription medications commonly used in retail
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage patients who may have low literacy levels or complex health challenges
• Patience and compassion when interacting with vulnerable patient populations
