Human Resources Specialist

Russell Tobin is seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Assistant to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities, and providing administrative support across a variety of HR functions. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll, and general HR administration. Responsibilities Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. Maintain accurate employee records and update HR databases. Process new hire onboarding and employee offboarding paperwork. Support HR processes related to transfers, promotions, terminations, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, and time-off requests. Assist with payroll and benefits administration, including benefit enrollment verification and invoice audits. Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and performance management activities. Coordinate company meetings, employee events, and recognition programs. Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable labor laws and company policies. Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed. Qualifications Associate's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or an administrative support role. Experience with full-cycle recruitment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems. Positive attitude with a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Preferred Qualifications HRCI and/or SHRM certification. HR experience in a manufacturing or food manufacturing environment. Experience supporting multiple shifts or multiple locations.
