Real Estate Associate Attorney (Mid-Level)Location: Florham Park, New JerseyDirect Counsel is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate to join the transactional Real Estate practice group of a highly respected Am Law firm in its Florham Park office. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions within a collaborative and nationally recognized practice.The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling complex commercial real estate matters, exceptional drafting skills, and the ability to manage transactions in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.ResponsibilitiesHandle a broad range of commercial real estate transactions across the countryDraft and negotiate: Contracts of saleCommercial lease agreementsFinancing documentsAncillary real estate transaction documentsAssist clients with acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing mattersConduct due diligence and transactional analysisCoordinate with lenders, opposing counsel, consultants, and internal teams throughout transactionsSupport transactions involving land use approvals and related contingenciesManage transaction timelines and assist with closingsQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials3–6 years of commercial real estate experienceExperience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate agreements requiredStrong background in acquisitions, leasing, and financing transactionsExperience involving land use approvals and contingencies is a plusExcellent writing, analytical, and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneouslyAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environmentCompensation & BenefitsAnticipated salary range: $225,000 – $280,000, depending on experience and qualificationsProductivity and discretionary bonus opportunitiesComprehensive medical, life, accident, and disability insurance401(k) retirement planFlexible hybrid work model with approximately three in-office days per weekCollaborative and client-focused culture with strong mentorship opportunitiesSophisticated transactional work with national exposureThis is an outstanding opportunity for a real estate associate seeking sophisticated deal work, meaningful client interaction, and long-term growth within a dynamic and supportive law firm platform.
