Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location: Fortuna, CA

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours; 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Endoscopy experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must be comfortable circulating and recovering patients in a rural hospital setting

Call Requirements:

• On call required 2 days per week including holidays and weekends
• Three 24-hour weekend on-call shifts required per month

Required Experience and Skills:

• General surgery procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and hernia repairs
• Ambulatory OR and General OR experience
• PACU/Recovery experience
• Endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
• Experience with electrosurgical units
• ENT procedures including tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy and myringotomy with tubes
• Orthopedic procedures including total joint replacements
• Pediatric general surgery experience preferred
• VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery) experience preferred
