Position: Part-Time Staff Accountant

An accounting company in Fort Worth is looking to add a Part-Time Staff Accountant to their team!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay: $23-28/hr

Position Responsibilities:

Corporate Credit Card Management & Reconciliation

Review corporate credit card transactions on a regular basis for accuracy, proper business purpose, and compliance with company policy.
Reconcile corporate credit card statements to supporting receipts, invoices, expense reports, and accounting records.
Track missing receipts, incomplete expense reports, and other required documentation.
Follow up with cardholders regarding outstanding or questionable transactions.
Identify duplicate, personal, unauthorized, or otherwise non-compliant charges and escalate as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of corporate credit card activity and outstanding items.
Assist with monthly closing procedures related to credit card accounts.
Monitor employee compliance with established credit card submission deadlines.

Credit Card Policy Enforcement

Administer and consistently enforce the company's corporate credit card policy.
Communicate policy requirements and documentation standards to cardholders.
Maintain a tracking system for late, incomplete, or missing expense reports and supporting documentation.
Notify management and/or HR when employees fail to comply with established requirements.
Assist with implementation of consequences outlined in the corporate card policy, including card suspension or other appropriate action.
Identify recurring compliance issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain confidentiality regarding employee expenses and financial information.

General Accounting Support

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed.
Assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Prepare routine journal entries and accounting schedules under the direction of the Controller or Accounting Manager.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Assist with maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
Provide accounting support for multiple company entities, departments, or locations as assigned.
Perform other accounting duties and special projects as needed.

Position Qualifications:

2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or related experience preferred.
Experience with corporate credit card reconciliation and expense reporting strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to identify discrepancies, missing documentation, and policy violations.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with QuickBooks preferred.

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person.
