Litigation Associate-Depositions, Briefing & Trial Support

This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Associate Attorney at Cowen | Rodriguez | Peacock in San Antonio, TX. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for supporting a lead Litigation Attorney in multiple avenues that are critical to the success for our clients. If you are an attorney that prefers more of the behind the scenes work related to case strategy and development; including legal research; brief writing; deposition taking and defending; and other litigation tasks including drafting pleadings, discovery and other legal memoranda - this may be the ideal role for you. Do you love writing/strategy more than arguing? Do you enjoy interacting with clients? Our firm has alot to offer the right candidate including training and professional development. The Associate Attorney will work under the guidance of a partner at the firm. to develop trial strategies and deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications
- 1-3 yrs of experience in personal injury
- Willingness to take initiative and propose solutions
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills; including relationship building with clients
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other attorneys and staff
- Strong briefing and writing skills
- Experience with depositions (e.g. presenting plaintiffs; taking witnesses, defendants)
- Willingness to travel
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
